Head-mounted viewer

The head-mounted viewer is equipped with two monochrome displays (3a, 3b) for stereoscopic image reproduction, which displays are accommodated in a helmet-like carrying part. For colour image reproduction, one transparent band (5) having successive colour filters (5B, 5G, 5R) for the primary colours blue, green and red in each case rotates around each display (3a, 3b). The bands run synchronously over rollers (4), one of which is in each case driven. <IMAGE>
