The green light-emitting fluorescent material composed of (Y1-x-y TbxPry)3 (Al,Ga)5 O12 [0.04<=x<=0.08; 0.01<=y<=0.03 is produced by (a) adding 0.1 mol BaF2 as a flux to 1.41 mol Y2O3, 1.695 mol Al2O3 and 0.805 mol Ga2O3 as a basic raw material, and 0.0375 mol Tb4O7 and 0.005 mol Pr6O11 as an activating agent, (b) mixing them, (c) calcining the mixture in the refractory container at 1450˜1550 deg.C for 1˜3 hr, and (d) cooling, water-cleaning and drying it. The fluorescent muterial improves a chrominance and an image contrast.
