<p>In summary, the present invention provides a mechanical pressing machine which is constructed and functions specifically in the following manner: a flywheel is arranged securely on an input shaft, and a drive cam disc or cam plate is arranged securely on the input shaft between the opposite ends thereof, and a torque-compensating plate cam or cam disc is further arranged on the other end of the input shaft. A cam disc or cam follower, in particular a cam roller, which is arranged on a distal end of a piston rod of a device which generates an elastic force, is held in pressure contact with the torque-compensating plate cam or cam disc in such a way that a load variation which is generated on the input shaft is compensated. In the device which generates the elastic force, a compression spring, in particular a helical compression spring, or an air spring or pneumatic spring, is preferably used.
