Image-analysis method and device for particles in flow

The invention relates to an image-analysis method for particles in flow and an image-analysis device for particles in flow, high-speed and high-precision image analysis taking place by means of a simple configuration. A flow chamber is structured such that the extent of the sample fluid in a direction essentially perpendicular to the direction of the light beam remains essentially constant in a flow direction in an imaging zone. Furthermore, if the particles have a small diameter, imaging power is set to a fixed high value. If the particles have a large diameter, the thickness of a sample fluid is increased in order to provide a sufficient number of sample particles. Switch gear for an optical system is consequently not required.
