<p>A die management method for a punch press machine comprising the steps of reading by means of a bar code reader a bar code tag corresponding to an identification number assigned to a die to be installed at the time of setting dies, storing in a nonvolatile memory die information specific to punches and dies, respectively, and set die information indicating respective die sets of punches and dies to be used for particular machining, storing addresses in the punch press machine where the respective die sets are stored in such a manner as to correspond to the set die information, and retrieving a required die set based on the set die information at the time of machining to thereby effect a die change.</p> |
