The invention relates to heteroatom-containing tricyclic compounds of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R<1> represents the aminooxalyl group or a group of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R4 and R5 are identical or different and are each hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, or R4 and R5, with the nitrogen atom, form a saturated or unsaturated 5- or 6-membered heterocycle which as a second heteroatom can contain nitrogen or oxygen, R6 is a lower alkyl group or the 4-tolyl group, n is an integer from 1 to 4, m is an integer from 1 to 4 and X is oxygen or sulphur, the symbol --- represents a single or double bond, R3 represents the methyl, n-propyl or alkyl group and R2, if the symbol --- is a double bond, represents hydrogen or no substituent and, if it is a single bond, represents the hydroxyl group, a protected hydroxyl group or OR1, processes for their preparation, and their use.
