A Rankine cycle power generator unit includes a pair of multistage turbine modules each of which has an inlet for receiving a vaporised working fluid at an outlet shaft, and each of which is in response to the vaporised working fluid applied to its inlet to expand the working fluid and produce work in the outlet shaft and working fluid with reduced heat which is superheated. An electricity generator is placed between the modules and coupled directly to their outlet shafts. The working fluid with reduced heat, superheated by one of the modules, is fed to the inlet of the other two modules.
