In order to provide a composite anchor which is suitable for tension zones and is configured such that, even if there is a crack running through the bore, the bonding composition is not detached from the bore wall and the composite anchor is held securely, despite the fact that it is of a conventional anchor diameter, the invention proposes a composite anchor which can be anchored in a bore by means of a bonding composition and exhibits an anchor rod (1) which is provided with a thread (5) over the part which is introduced into the bore, characterised in that, in the region of the thread (5), the anchor rod (1) is enclosed by a sheet (15) which rests against the anchor rod (1) and consists of a wear-resistant material which adheres poorly to the anchor rod (1), and provision is made for an anti-rotation means which prevents displacement of the sheet (15) with respect to the anchor rod (1) when the composite anchor rotates about the longitudinal axis of the anchor rod (1). <IMAGE>
