A cap 1 with a sealing pad at its inner end is locked over the end of the exhaust pipe 2. A pin 4 passing through bushes 3 on the cap may be locked to the lug 6 or a lock (14, Fig. 2) on the cap (11) may provide a projection (15) over a bayonet slot 13 engaged over a lug 16 on the exhaust pipe (12).
