Linear polyester contains (1) 10-40 mol.% of an addition product of trans-piperylene and maleic acid/anhydride (2) 10-40 mol % of a dicarboxylic compound chosen from maleic anhydride and fumaric acid and (3) 50-70 mol. % glycol. (1) is pref. cis 3-methyl 4-cyclohexene cis, cis 12-dicarboxylic anhydride, of m.p. 63-65 degrees C. An ethylenic monomer (styrene or vinyl acetate) copolymerisable with the polyester may opt. be included as 20-60 wt. % of the composition. The composition dries rapidly (15 min.) at about 140 degrees F in oxygen, giving a non-tacky surface.
