<p>PURPOSE:To provide an image forming apparatus in which a photosensitive body is prevented effectively from being irradiated with unnecessary light, and a high quality latent image can be formed on the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:In an image forming apparatus comprising a housing 4, a lens array 3 in which more than one cylindrical lens 7 is arranged in a casing, and a light emitting diode element array 2 in which a large number of light emitting diode elements 2a are arranged in a straight line, the lens array 3 and the light emitting diode element array 2 are fixed in the housing 4 so that each light emitting diode element 2a is positioned on the optical axis of each cylindrical lens 7. A light diaphragm member 8 which has substantially the same arrangement as that of each cylindrical lens of the lens array and is equipped with more than one hole having a smaller diameter than that of each cylindrical lens is arranged on one side of the lens array 3 which is confronted by the light emitting diode element array 2 of the lens array 3.</p> |
