PURPOSE:To prevent an omission of pulse detection necessary for parameters by shortening the arithmetic time of the method which encodes the speech signal by using an MPC system. CONSTITUTION:After the speech signal is sampled at constant time intervals to find autocorrelations x(i) (i=1... N), impulse responses h(i) (i=1...tau) and a cross correlation (c) with the speech are found from an equation. Then pulse positions m1, m2', mi ... and pulse amplitudes g(m1), g(m2'), and g(mi) at a point tau+ or -DELTA nearby a section of one pitch or its intermediate point tau/2+ or -DELTAtau are calculated and extracted as parameters of the speech signal. |
