PURPOSE:To automatically set a selection of longitudinal and lateral copy magnifications and a size of a transfer form by the magnification varying function of the image forming device, to greatly simplify copying operation, to decrease misoperation, and to shorten a copying time. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device consists of plural paper feeding means 6, a document area specifying means 2 which specifies an optional area of a document image, an output size specifying means 3 which specifies the size of an output image, a magnification determining means 4 which determines longitudinal and lateral magnifications on the basis of the document image size specified by the document area specifying means 2 and the output image size specified by the output size specifying means 3, a paper feed selecting means 5 which selects a paper feeding means 6 on the basis of the output image size specified by the output size specifying means 3, and an image forming means 7 which forms the document image of the area specified by the document area specifying means 2 according to the magnifications determined by the magnification determining means 4 on a form fed by the paper feeding means 6 selected by the paper feeding selecting means 5. |
