PURPOSE:To improve antithrombotic property by forming an antithrombotic composite useful for giving antithrombotic property to an artificial blood vessel or artificial organ from a composite of a lipid or quaternary ammonium salt, a sterol or protein, and a polysaccharide or synthetic polymer. CONSTITUTION:As the forming material of a medical equipment having good mechanical characteristics such as flexibility, elasticity, durability and wet strength, and further making contact with the antithrombotic blood, a composite consisting of a lipid or quaternary ammonium salt, a sterol or protein, and a polysaccharide or synthetic polymer, or a composite consisting of the lipid and the synthetic polymer is used. As the lipid, phosphatizyl choline, lecithin, lysolecithin are used, as the quaternary ammonium salt, dialkyl dimethylammonium salts having alkyl groups having 10-30 carbon atoms are used, and as the polysaccharide, polysaccharides having carboxyl or sulfuric groups are used. |
