<p>PURPOSE:To make the resistance value of a chip resistor nearly constant by providing one or more hole sections through an upper or lower substrate and extending the outer edge of a resistor to the bottom of the hole. CONSTITUTION:The opposite side faces of a laminated body of a lower substrate composed of an insulating substrate 1 and upper substrate composed of a platy ceramic insulating substrate 3 are coated with side electrodes 4 after forming a resistor 2 having a trapezoid shape when viewed from the top on the surface of the substrate 1 from the left-side edge to the right-side edge by application and baking and forming the substrate 3 on the surface of the resistor 2 by application and baking. Then a through hole 3a is bored through the substrate 3 in such a state that the resistor 2 is extended to the bottom of the hole 3a and a protective layer 5 is formed on the surface of the hole 3a. Therefore, the resistance value of the resistor 2 can be measured while the resistance value is adjusted by notching the resistor 2 towards its center from its outer edge through the hole 3a.</p> |
