<p>PURPOSE:To provide the resin coating carrier for electrostatic charge image development which has stable electrostatic charge characteristics and does not generate surface fogging by forming a resin coating layer while irradiating this layer with microwaves, thereby producing the carrier having a specific moisture content. CONSTITUTION:The carrier having the moisture content of 10 to 500ppm is produced by forming the resin coating layer while irradiating the layer with the microwave in a stage for forming the resin coating layer on a core material in the process for production of the coating carrier for electrostatic charge image development composed of the core material and the resin coating layer. While the microwave output is a factor to affect the moisture content of the carrier, the microwaves are used by adjusting this output in a range where the desired moisture content is obtainable. While the apparatus for production to be used is not particularly limited, a mixing device having rotating vanes is preferably used. Further, a microwave irradiation section is preferably disposed in a position facing the shaft of the rotating vanes in a sense of enhancing drying efficiency.</p> |
