PURPOSE:To obtain the resin capable of providing a molding with hardly any percent defective in appearance when used as a raw material for expanded polystyrene sheets. CONSTITUTION:This styrenic resin for expanded sheets has >1.1 to <=2.4 ratio (Mabs/Mr) of the absolute molecular weight (Mabs) obtained from an elution curve in a method for detecting a differential angular refractive index to the molecular weight (Mr), determined by a Rayleigh scattering method and based on the straight-chain standard polystyrene at a molecular weight within the range of 100000 to 2000000 when the molecular weight is simultaneously measured by both the method for detecting the differential angular refractive index and the Rayleigh scattering method according to a gel permeation chromatography using tetrahydrofuran solvent. |
