A two-stage helical compressor that has a casing (1), two stationary spirals mounted on the inside of it (2 and 3) that are a low-pressure spiral (2) and a high-pressure spiral (3), and a displacer body (4) and base (5) mounted so that it can move eccentrically within the casing (1). For each stage, there is a spiral (6, 7) mounted on this base (5), which works in conjunction with one of the above-mentioned stationary spirals (2, 3) as a low-pressure spiral (6) and a high-pressure spiral (7). There is a means of causing the said displacer (8) to move within the casing (1); the casing (1) has an inlet (9 and 11) and outlet (10 and 12) for each stage, with the characteristic that the low-pressure spiral (6) and the high-pressure spiral (7) on the eccentrically movable displacer body (4) are on opposite sides of the base (5) and work jointly with the stationary low-pressure spiral (2) and the stationary high-pressure spiral (3), which are consequently also placed on the casing (1) on opposite sides of the base(5) of the displacer body (4).<IMAGE> |
