PURPOSE:To provide an image processing device without requiring a line buffer and capable of performing interpolation processing at high speed. CONSTITUTION:Image data consisting of plural bits is stored by dispersing to plural storage areas in source image memory 3. When a reading address is designated from a source address decoder 2, the data read out from the source image memory 3 is converted to an original arranging pattern with a selector 4, and is sent to an interpolation processing part 6. The interpolation processing part 6 applies the interpolation processing to the remarked picture element of the arranging pattern, and outputs it to destination image memory 8. At this time, it is checked whether or not the arranging pattern is the one for which no interpolation processing is required by a pattern comparison part 5, and when the pattern is the one without requiring the interpolation processing, it is outputted to the destination image memory 8 without applying the interpolation processing at the interpolation processing part 6. |
