PURPOSE:To enable irregular noise generated during a cooling operation after defrosting to be restricted. CONSTITUTION:Upon completion of defrosting operation, the number of rotations of a fan motor 16 of a blower 21 is reduced below a normal number of rotation during cooling and then a cooling operation is started. Cold air blown out of a heat exchanging chamber 5 into a freezing chamber 2 is reduced in its volume, and a thermal load is decreased, so that a temperature of an evaporator 7 is rapidly decreased. A time required for the refrigerant to reach a lower limit evaporator temperature TL where there is a possibility of producing irregular noise caused by variation in state of refrigerant is shortened and the irregular noise is merely produced in a slight time. After this operation, the number of rotation of the fan motor 16 of the blower 21 is increased and a normal cooling operation is carried out. |
