REDUANDANT-PARITY PROTECTION METHOD IN PARALLEL CALCULATION SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE: To perform the parity protection of a distributed data file at the parallel data processing network of multinode, for which data memories are provided in respective nodes. CONSTITUTION: This method is provided with the following functions of (a) to distribute N-1 pieces of file data blocks at least through N-1 pieces of nodes from 0 to N-1, to store respective N-1 pieces of fine data blocks in data memories at usable physical places and to instruct positions for arranging the respective file data blocks inside a related directory held by the respective data memories, (b) to exclusive OR data bits in the corespondent bit positions of N-1 pieces of file data blocks and (c) to store the result of (b) in the corresponding bit position of the parity file data block in the data memory of node N.
