PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording sheet improved in heat resistance, water resistance and oil resistance by providing a thermal color forming layer based on a basic leuco dye and an org. coupler and containing a compd. represented by a specific general formula on a support. CONSTITUTION:An org. coupler represented by general formula (wherein R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, A is a single bond or a double bond, X is C=0 or SO2 and Y is an alkyl group or an arylalkyl group), a basic leuco dye and, if necessary, various additives are finely pulverized by a grinder and a binder is added to the ground mixture to prepare a coating soln. This coating soln. is applied to a support such as paper, synthetic paper or a plastic film and dried to laminate a thermal recording layer on the support to obtain a thermal recording sheet. As a concrete example of the compd. represented by the general formula, there are saccharin, phthalimide, tetrahydrophthalimide, hexahydrophthalimide, succinimide and maleimide. |
