PURPOSE:To improve the quality of an abrasive cloth which is used for a precise surface polishing of a metal, a semiconductor base plate a glass, and the like. CONSTITUTION:A nonwoven fabric which consists of a vinylon fiber or a vinylon fiber and a cellulose type fiber is soaked in a polyurethane resin solution, and a wet solidification, a water washing and solvent removal, and a drying processes are applied to combine and fix the nonwoven fabric by a minute porous structure of polyurethane resin, so as to form an abrasive cloth. As a result, since the fiber and the resin are abraded in the same level in the abrading process of the abrasive cloth by the abrasive grains, the polishing operation is not restricted to the fiber, no blinding of the abrasive grains is generated, the reduction of the polishing property and the abrasive damage by the blinding of the abrasive grains are not generated, and the productivity and the yield of the products are improved. |
