The invention relates to a device for controlling the movement of a hydraulic cylinder 14. The device comprises a spindle controlled check valve 4 as well as transmitting means 21, 12, 10, 16 for transmitting the force of the cylinder 14 to the spindle 2. Said spindle 2 causes in its first position an outwards working movement of the rod of the cylinder 14 and in its second position a returning movement of the rod of the cylinder 14. The device further comprises a locking device 1 having locking means 27, 7, 17, 6, 6' for locking the spindle 2 in said positions. The spindle 2 is adapted to moving from the first position to the second position or opposite under influence of the force transmitted by the transmitting means 21, 12, 10, 16. The device further comprises means 3, 8, 31 for starting or stopping the action of the cylinder by moving the locking device relative to the check valve 4. <IMAGE>
