1,206,036. Heat sensitizing agents for latices. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 27 May, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 25293/68. Headings C3E, C3P and C3Q. A heat-sensitive latex composition comprises per 100 parts by weight of rubber or resin solids, 0.05-10 parts of a siloxaneoxyalkylene copolymer as described in Specification 1,206,037 having the formula wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon or cyanoalkyl radical, R<SP>1</SP> is a C1-7 alkyl or an aryl radical, A is a divalent hydrocarbon radical of no more than 7 C atoms, a is 0.51-1.0, b is 1.12-1.90, a + b is 2.02-2.41, n is 2-4 and is at least 5. In examples aqueous dispersions of such polysiloxanes are added to latices of an acrylonitrilemethacrylic acid copolymer, natural rubber, or a vinyl chloride-acrylic acid copolymer, in amounts giving 0.1-2 wt. per cent polysiloxane based on latex solids. |
