In this instrument, the sound pickup system comprises at least two microphones (6, 7) fixed to the body of the instrument but not in direct contact with it, one microphone (6) being mounted on that part (1) of the body of the instrument which is closest to the reed (8) while the second microphone (7) is mounted on a part (3) of the body of the instrument which is closest to the opening of its bell. <IMAGE>
