PURPOSE:To provide a miniaturized and large-capacity phase advance reactive power adjusting device by using an electrolytic capacitor. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a circuit connecting bidirectional semiconductor switch parts 11-13 and 14 to a bridge and a control part 3 for alternately controlling the ON/OFF of the bidirectional semiconductor switch parts for each half cycle while pairing two parts facing each other at this bridge circuit among these bidirectional semiconductor switch parts 11-13 and 14 by inputting an AC voltage (v) between the counter junctions of the bridge circuit and detecting the phase of this voltage (v), and an electrolytic capacitor part 2 is connected between the other junctions different from the junction of the AC input of this bridge circuit.
