PURPOSE:To offer a pollution-free spindle motor that scatters no magnetic fluid by preventing the generation of atmospheric pressure difference between the rotor outside and stator chamber resulting from temperature difference. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 5 is mounted on a shaft 1 in such a manner that it can rotate freely. The ends of the shaft 1 are fixed to frames 21a and 21b. A stator chamber B1 enclosed by the rotor 5 is sealed with a pair of magnetic fluid seals 17, 17, which are located between the ends of the shaft 1 and rotor 5. A threaded hole to fix a frame is provided in one end 1a of the shaft 1, and a through hole 25 is provided to link the stator chamber B1 with the threaded hole 24. |
