PURPOSE:To prevent short circuit within a receptacle, reverse connection of receptacle and plug, etc. CONSTITUTION:A receptacle 10 comprises a tubular cover 22 having outer diameter phi3 slightly smaller than the inner diameter phi2 of a tubular body 18 and inner diameter 44 slightly larger than the outer diameter phi1 of a columnar body 14 and applied to the outer periphery of the tubular body 14 while rotatably in the peripheral direction, a cover body 22a provided for the tubular cover 22 while covering one end face 14a of the columnar body 14, and a receptacle side engaging part 22b provided for the tubular cover 22. A plug 12 comprises the tubular body 18 provided with a plug side engaging part 18b which is engaged with the receptacle side engaging part 22b thus making the tubular cover 22 rotatable in the tubular body 18. The cover body 22a is provided with holes 22p, 22m into which protruding terminals 20p, 20m are inserted upon engagement of the engaging parts 22b and 18b. |
