PURPOSE:To effectively remove a foreign matter and dirt on an objective lens for an optical head used for an optical recording/reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:When a cleaning cartridge 7 equipped with a sensor hole 7c is inserted, a cleaner is recognized by a drive control circuit 18, and the optical head 3 is shifted in an outer peripheral direction by transfer mechanisms 5 and 6, and the optical head 3 with the objective lens 4 mounted is shifted in an inner peripheral direction while moving the objective lens 4 upward and downward by a focus setting operation. At this time, if necessary, alcohol, etc., is infiltrated into a cleaning cover 9B which is wound around a brush 9A for a cleaner fixing member 8 by the focus setting operation of the objective lens 4, and then, the dirt on the objective lens 4 is removed and the objective lens 4 is cleaned. Thus, the objective lens is effectively cleaned. |
