PURPOSE:To surely perform an inspection within a reference speed and to prevent a flaw from being overlocked by a method wherein the scanning speed of a sensor is measured by a range finder and the scanning speed is displayed or warned. CONSTITUTION:Since the speed of a cart 2 and that of a probe 6 are the same, an encoder 18 as a range finder is attached to a caster 4 for the cart 2, a marker 20 which is put on a wheel 10 for the caster 4 is read out by the encoder 18, the movement distance of the cart 2 is measured, the time measured by a clock counter is divided by the movement distance, and a scanning speed is found. The scanning speed which is found in this manner is displayed on a CRT 8 on a flaw detection device, or it is warned by light or sound only when the scanning speed exceeds the upper-limit value or the lower-limit value of a reference speed. Thereby, an inspection can be executed surely within the reference speed without relying on experience and intuition, and it is possible to prevent a flaw or the like from being overlooked. |
