PURPOSE:To obtain a method and a device for pattern clipping capable of automatically sampling the contour line of a specific pattern in an image, smoothing the contour line of a sampled pattern, and accurately acquiring the contour line of the specific pattern. CONSTITUTION:This method and device is constituted of an image input part 2, a contour designation part 4 on which a display part 3 is installed there, a contour line generating part 1 provided with a binary image conversion function and a contour line sampling function, a smoothing processing part 5, and a contour output part 6, and which binarizes picture element data sampled by a rectangular pointer, and finds the logical product of the images in a working area where the data are superimposed, and retrieves a contour sequentially by a specific filter. Also, the case where the retrieval of a picture element is disabled can be relieved, and the continuity for retrieval can be secured by this method and device. |
