<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming system capable of maximizing productivity when a combined image of character and natural picture is printed by magnifying. CONSTITUTION:When a magnified synthetic picture is printed finally based on an original picture and character font data, linear magnifying processing 112 in software fashion is applied to the original picture read by a scanner S on a host computer side, and also, vector magnifying processing 110 in software fashion is applied to the font data similarly, and synthesis processing 111 is applied to those data. At this time, molding processing such as edge emphasizing processing, etc., can be performed after the vector magnifying processing 110. Synthesized data are further magnified in hardware fashion by a printer 2, and the magnified synthetic picture can be printed out. In such a case, the magnification used in the host computer 1 and the printer 2 can be decided so as to maximize the productivity.</p> |
