PURPOSE: To provide a device for judging alignment on an image forming surface when an image corresponding to a different color is superimposed in an electronic photographic printer. CONSTITUTION: The device for positioning a substrate provided with a hole 100 and moving in a processing direction is provided. An optical detector 102 is arranged at a position adjacent to the first face of the substrate and crossing with the route of the hole 100 along a processing direction. First and second light source points PA and PB are arranged and when the hole 100 is arranged between these light source points PA, PB and the optical detector, light can be detected by the optical detector 102 directly from the light source points PA, PB. A state detector 104 detects a state in which light beams of substantially equal intensity from the light sources PA and PB are detected by the optical detector 102. |
