PURPOSE:To provide the automatic congestion measurement instrument for vehicle executed at a low cost with less measurement error by displaying and delivering the congestion state of a railway to an external device in an instantaneous time. CONSTITUTION:The measurement instrument is made up of an optical reception sensor means 1 receiving a light in a vehicle, an A/D converter means 2 converting the received signal, an input data memory means 3 storing tentatively converted data, a background data memory means 5 storing invehicle data when no person is in existence in the vehicle, an optical discrimination means 6 binarizing data in excess of a predetermined threshold level among results of difference between entered data and background data stored in the memories 3, 5, a processing result data memory means 7 storing tentatively the binarized data, a counter means 8 counting the tentatively stored data and calculating the congestion, an analysis means analyzing the congestion to generate display information and a data output means 10 displaying the display information. |
