PURPOSE:To provide the optical head device capable of inexpensively correcting the astigmatic difference of a semiconductor laser without generating a problem of optical axis misalignment and easily adjusting the correction rate thereof. CONSTITUTION:This optical head device has a collimating light source unit which has the semiconductor laser 1 and a collimating lens 3 for paralleling the exit light of the semiconductor laser 1 and corrects the astigmatic difference possessed by the semiconductor laser 1 with the collimating lens 3. A strain is applied to the collimating lens 3 by a set screw 14 constituting a lens pressurizing means which is disposed in the position of the collimating lens 3 of this collimating light source unit and pressurizes the collimating lens 3, by which astigmatism is generated and the astigmatic difference of the semiconductor laser 1 is corrected. The astigmatism quantity generated in the collimating lens 3 according to the individual astigmatism quantity of the semiconductor laser 1 by the lens pressurizing means for pressurizing the collimating lens 3, by which the astigmatic difference of the semiconductor laser 1 is corrected. |
