PURPOSE:To provide the high-accuracy optical apparatus which is smaller in size and lighter in weight than the conventional optical apparatus. CONSTITUTION:This optical apparatus is constituted by utilizing a linear driving type vibration wave actuator as a driving source for driving a lens. A sleeve part 4a integral with a holding lens barrel 4 of a PR lens 1d fits slidably to a guide bar 8 and a vibrator 24 of the linear driving type vibration wave actuator is brought into pressurized contact with the outer peripheral surface of this sleeve part 4a by a leaf spring 26. Axial thrust is applied to the sleeve part 4a and the lens barrel 4 is moved along an optical axis 6 when two AC voltages having a prescribed phase difference are applied to a piezoelectric element 25. The force of the spring 26 is the force to hold the lens barrel 4 in the stopping position at the time of stopping the lens barrel 4 and is the force to suppress the clatter between the sleeve part 4a and the guide bar 8 for the lens barrel 4 under movement. |
