PURPOSE:To prevent a foreign matter from being supplied to a photoreceptor from a developing sleeve and to prevent a white stripe and a void from occurring by providing the foreign matter storage part below the developing sleeve. CONSTITUTION:Among the toner returned from the cleaning part 6 to the inside of the developing device 4, the foreign matters such as a very small paper dust and the flocculated toner whose grain size becomes large, are included and these foreign matters soon come into a state of sticking to the outer periphery of the developing sleeve 9 together with the normal toner. However, the adhesion of these foreign matters for sticking to the outer periphery of the developing sleeve 9 are smaller as compared to the normal toner or not existent. Therefore, when the foreign matters are moved downward accompanying the rotation of the sleeve 9, the foreign matters 'separate from the sleeve 9, drop, and are contained in the foreign matter storage part 10. Thus, the white stripe, the void, etc., on the image caused by the foreign matters supplied to the photoreceptor 1 are prevented from occurring, and the picture transferred to the recording paper becomes excellent. |
