Soldering irons

Soldering irons, partic. for soldering junctions in electronic circuits, are regulatable as to a predetermined operating temp. by a heating element, a sensitive conductor element comprising a resistor whose value varies with temp. and which acts according to the bit temp. so that the resistor temp. and resistance vary as functions of the bit temp. A circuit supplies the heating element and a command or regulating circuit is connected to the sensitive element and detects variations in its resistance. The command circuit is also connected to the supply circuit to open and close it as the bit temp. reaches or cools from its predetermined operating temp. The command circuit has manual regulating means so that the bit operating temp. may be varied.
