<p>The invention relates to the formation of twin level andirons which facilitate and improve the ignition, reignition, combustion and maintaining of combustion. Said andirons are comprised of two horizontal, superimposed separate grids (1 and 2) which are interconnected on two opposite sides by means of vertical uprights (3) and which are so arranged that their distance with respect to the plane on which is resting the base of the vertical uprights is respectively 7 centimeters approximately for the lower grid (1) and 20 centimeters approximately for the upper grid (2). Additionaly, the lower grid (1) is provided with bars whose spacing is smaller than the spacing of the bars of the upper grid (2). The special arrangement and configuration of the disclosed andirons make them appropriate to be used in open fireplaces.</p> |
