<p>Cryogenic cooling system for transport vehicles. The cooling system includes an evaporator (10) supplied with liquid CO2 from a fill tank (22). A gas driven pump (26) circulates liquid CO2 from the fill tank (22) to the evaporator (10). Working fluid is supplied to gas pump (26) from the evaporator (10) in the form of CO2 gas. The fill tank (22) can be put in fluid communication with a reserve vessel (34) for replenishing the fill tank (22). The evaporator (10) includes a plurality of modules (58) selectively connectable to the fill tank (22) allowing to control the rate of heat absorption by the evaporator (10). The cooling system includes a nozzle (200), the operation of which is regulated by a valve (202) responsive to the temperature of a wall of an enclosure.</p> |
