摘要 PURPOSE:To ensure a highly effective optical combination with the optical fiber as well as to enhance the airtightness by placing the light emitting diode with the spherical lens mounted at the center of the luminous part onto the mountstage and then covering the support tool to which the circular optical waveguide path featuring the same diameter as the lens is fitted over the light emitting diode. CONSTITUTION:The diode containing spherical lens 4 featuring about 100 mum diameter and about 20 refractive index at the center of the luminous part is adhered to the center part of mount stage 7 of the light emitting diode. Then support tool 6, which is provided by piercing through circular optical waveguide path 5 featuring almost identical diamter to that of spherical lens 4 and about 30 maximum receiving angle of the guiding light, is placed on the above mentioned diode with some space secured and then adhered to stage 7 to be unified into a body. Thus, the optical combination is given with high efficiency between the diode and the waveguide path, and the uniform intensity distribution is secured for the light emitted from lens 4. And thus the light transmits up to the emission edge face of the waveguide path.
