The invention is concerned with methods and apparatus for varying the conditions of individual detonator circuits in a detonator firing arrangement and wherein each detonator circuit has a plurality of preset options and, to set the circuit, one of said preset options is included in the detonator circuit. In one described embodiment each detonator circuit includes a plurality of leads attached to one terminal of the detonator, each lead includes a time delay device, all the time delay devices afford different time delays and the detonator is set by connecting one of said leads to the detonator. In another embodiment the preset option arrangements are address options, the firing circuit arrangement includes a control unit connected to a plurality of detonator circuits for transmitting information thereto and, once the preset address option arrangement is set for a detonator circuit, the said circuit whilst receiving all information transmitted by the control unit will respond only to information preceded by the selected address option. |
