A forced air circulation system (10) for an enclosed room (12) with a floor (18), room walls (16), and a ceiling (20). The system includes at least one distributor unit (42) positioned adjacent the base of at least one of the room walls. The distributor unit has an elongated center section (52a, 52b), an inlet opening (49) for receiving forced circulation air, and an elongated outlet passage (58a, 58b) of smaller cross-sectional area than that of the inlet opening. The system also provides a deflector unit (46) positioned on the room wall substantially upwardly of the distributor outlet passage. The deflector unit has surface portions approximately parallel and perpendicular to the wall surface as well as a transition portion connecting these surfaces. Supply and return conduits (32, 38) are provided for directing forced air to the distributor unit inlet and withdrawing the circulated air from the room.
