A tooth lock washer, in particular for toothed belts, can be attached in a rotationally fixed manner to an output shaft of an engine or gearbox. For this purpose, at the end of a washer body (20) there is provided a conical ring (25) which can be operated by a tensioning ring (10) which can be displaced coaxially with respect to the washer body (20). To this end, tensioning secrews (40), which are guided in through-holes (23) in the washer body (20), engage in threaded holes (13) in the tensioning ring (10). At the same time, the tensioning screws (40) can secure a cover washer (30) for guiding a toothed belt. A concept of this type allows a tensioning-cone connection to be realised in an extremely small amount of space, so that tooth lock washers of small diameter and hence with a small number of teeth are possible. <IMAGE>
