<p>A pour spout fitment (31) has a flange (33) and a closure (34). An anvil (99) is located on each leg (98) of a rotary spider (96) to pick up fitments and transport them inside a carton. The anvil cooperates with a welding horn (111) to weld the fitment by the flange to the side wall (24) of the carton. Cartons having a defective weld seam are ejected by an air nozzle mechanism.</p> |
