The invention describes the production of a container for storing and applying a catheter lubricant. The application funnel 2 together with its detachable closure part 3 is produced separately from the actual bottle 1. By this means, residues of the original connection between the closure part 3 and the funnel 2 that remain behind after detachment of the closure part 3 are located inside the funnel 2.
