This amplifier circuit has an active electronic component, for example a transistor, an FET or an electron tube, which has an input electrode (3) to be connected to a source, an output electrode (5) to be connected to a load and a common electrode (2) used as reference earth for the input and output signal. The invention recommends that the input electrode (3) and the output electrode (5) are unbalanced transmission lines and are formed in such a manner that the characteristic impedance of the input electrode (3) corresponds to the desired input impedance of the amplifier circuit and that the characteristic impedance of the output electrode (5) corresponds to the desired output impedance of the circuit, the common electrode (2) being the reference earth of the transmission lines.
