A force-transmission belt exhibits a belt body (12) with a longitudinal extent, an inner side (16), an outer side (18), a supporting layer (20), a plurality of teeth (24) extending in the longitudinal direction, and a web surface (26) between adjoining teeth, the web surface being oriented in the inner or outer direction. At least one cord (22) extending in the longidutinal direction is provided in the belt body. The distance (L) between the web surface (26) and the load-bearing cord (22) between inner side and outer side of the belt is between 0.30 mm and 0.5 mm.
