The subject of the invention is a clamping device for at least one winding tube to be fixed on a shank, preferably for a plurality of winding tubes, tube portions, rolls or the like to be fixed next to one another. Radially extendable clamping jaws (6) serve for clamping and are actuated via wedge surfaces by means of push elements (9) movable longitudinally within the shank. The push elements (9) themselves are displaced by spindle nuts (13) which are in threaded engagement with a threaded rod (12) running centrally in the shank. Each spindle nut is in frictional engagement with a box nut (15) engaging over it, so that, when a predetermined torque is exceeded, the spindle nut (13) rotates together with the threaded rod (12) and does not move the clamping jaws (6) any further outwards. In this way, all the clamping jaws come to bear on the core of the tube or the like with a reproducible pretensioning force. <IMAGE>
